There are two types of glass that you will come across when cleaning windows, hydrophilic and hydrophobic.
Hydrophilic glass is most commonly used in domestic properties this is known as water loving, this type of glass makes the water sheet down the window easily as one, allowing the window cleaner to rinse the window quickly.
Hydrophobic glass has the complete opposite effect from the water sheeting, the molecules of water want to separate when hitting the glass causing a beading affect, this type of glass is a lot harder to clean as when rinsing the water doesn’t sheet down the glass easily.
Using fan jets or a rinse bar in your brush would definitely be beneficial as you are able to get more coverage on the glass when rinsing.
